Gummies

We ask for them when we get in the car. "Mama, I nack." Those are what he calls them. Either nacks or gum. We ask for them sitting in church. He knows exaclty what is in his backpack, and his go-to (most of the time, during a prayer) is a pack of nacks.

Imagine my shock when he starts asking for them as we are playing with Thomas and Friends on the couch. He holds out his hand and says "Mama, I gum." I reply with "I don't have any." To which he grabs my hand, holds it out, and proceeds to "eat" a gum, smacking his lips as he does so. He repeats this two more times, picking "gums" from my hand and laughing. Then, offers me one!

How are we this grown already? Eating fake gummies? Every day there is something new!

Diaper Drama Volume VIII

You know it's time to potty train when...

1) Your son grabs his stank diaper after his nap and yells, "I did it!" when you go in to get him up.

2) You tell your husband in the car "I'm pooped" after a long day, and your child proceeds to yell "Mama, I pooped!" for several minutes afterwards.

Yikes! We sit on the potty, but that's as far as we go. Nothing yet but's that's cool. We're not two QUITE yet (less than a month!). Note to self- continue to keep shorts on during naps, and watch what we say!
