Found this hidden away in the blogger world...
(written circa fall 2012/early 2013)
If I could take these days, take out a spattering of terrible-twos, and freeze them to live in them forever, I would. I CANNOT believe what all Little Man says/does/comes up with. WHERE has my baby gone!
Favorite Sayings:
- Why you do dat?
- Dairs (there's) b-i-gs (ABCs)!
- Luv zou
- I not ______, I'm Cutter Brodie.
- Conversation with neighbors: Girl #1- "I ride a horse." Girl #2- "I ride ponies." Little Man- "I ride donkeys."
- Riding in the car: Little Man, "Where's Chris?" Me, "Who?" Little Man, "Chris Brodie." Me, "You mean, Daddy." Little Man, "He right there!"
- I bump my _____! Need ice!
Fun Facts:
- Potty training. Need I say more? Luckily, it's gone SO WELL! I'm impressed, and I didn't really know what approach I was going to take when we started. We just went with it.
- We know EVERY Thomas the Train friend. Even ones I don't know!
- He knows all of his capital letters. He knows some sounds and a few lowercase letters. He impresses me, because I don't remember doing that much with him!
- The only song we recognize from the radio- Trouble. He'll call it even before the words start!
- He'll sing quite often, but never on request. It's got to be his timing.
- He LOVES to read. We'll read several books in one sitting. There are some books he can "read" to you since we've read them so often!
- He likes to pick his own clothes out. We have to give choices now since most of the time, he doesn't want the first thing you offer.
- He likes red jelly beans the best. Another potty training thing.
- When he goes to bed at night, I have to "tuck, tuck, tuck" his covers around him.
- He stays in his bed all night. Trust me. Saturday mornings, I'm awoken by a shrieking "Momma, momma, momma!!!" When I walk in, he pops up and says, "Momma, I holler you." Heard you, buddy. Loud and clear!
- He DOES NOT like Chris' riding lawnmower. He didn't like PawPaws, but we didn't think anything of it. He'll tell me "it scare me" when Chris goes out to cut the grass.
- He will bring bugs to me now. Yay!
- If he gets hurt, I'll tell him to shake it off, and he does. Literally.
