Month 11

Height: 31 inches (squirming and wiggling, approximate)

Weight: 24 +some pounds

How cute is he?! His personality shines through more and more each day. It is fun to see it, but also lets me know we have our work cut out for us!

Things we've noticed:
~ He DOES NOT want baby food anymore. He wants to eat and wants to do it all himself. If there is somethings out of reach that he wants, he'll let us know.
~ He grunts at me. If he doesn't like something, he'll grunt. If I tell him no, he'll grunt. So I have to pop him. That works.
~ We are pulling up on everything. He's stood on his own a few times, but I don't think on purpose too often. Once was in the bathtub when he was hysterical, wanting me.
~ He has stepped from one piece of furniture to another, and down the length of the couch. He won't walk holding onto our hands. He'll drop to his knees instead.
~ He know where his toys are in his room. He also knows where the towels in his drawers are and pulls them out quite often.
~ His toys are for dumping out and spreading around. Block towers are for knocking down and stacking rings are for rolling across the floor. The xylophone is for dropping on the ground, instead of tapping to make the music. Anything and everything that can go in his mouth, does.
~ He chews on his crib, so we have protection on it so he won't ruin it all.
~ We cuddle first thing in the morning, when I get him up. He lays his head on my shoulder until he finishes waking up. We cuddle right before he goes to bed at night too. My favorite part is where he holds on to me too.
~ Mandarin oranges are his favorite food. He likes all fruit better than other food, but eats well. Veggies, meats, breads... everything.

I cannot believe it has been 11 month already. The days are quickly ticking away until a whole year has passed. It is flying by and I can't imagine what this last month in this first year will bring. He changes so much every single day. Love that little boy!

Boy, OH, Boy!

My son LOVES the bathtub. He would stay in there all night long if I let him. He yells and sings, splashes a ton, and twists/turns/moves/wiggles the entire time. He is just happy to be there!

Tonight, when I sat him in the tub... it happened. Immediately, he grabs his junk and holds it, staring at the stream that is now shooting across the tub. When done, he just looks at it and I know was thinking, "Where did it go?" Then just smiles at me like it was so funny!

What a little water bug!

Month 10

Height: 30 inches

Weight: 22 pounds, 13 oz

Head: Below average, but I don't remember off the top of my head.

Well, time is flying by here and so are we. We're about a week out from 11 months and I'm just a little behind here. Where do I start? What a change these last few weeks alone! I'm having trouble keeping the months straight.

Some things we've noticed:

~ We FINALLY have a crawler! He rolled everywhere he went until about 9 1/2 months. Then, he took off after my phone and hasn't stopped. He's fast as anything now!

~ Within a week of crawling, he started pulling up. Wobbly at first, but is quickly gaining.

~ We LOVE bathtime. He would stay in there all day long if I let him.

~ We started a sippy cup in place of a bottle at dinner. We normally do great, as long as we dont think it's a teether. We have to work on holding it up better. We'll get there!

~ Teeth. 7 right now, and counting. We've learned that when your right eye waters and tears just pour down for no reason, there is a reason. A tooth is breaking through.

~ Momma is #1. Especially when I pick you up from school. And when I'm trying to get dinner ready. Either you'll follow me around crying for me, or I cook dinner one handed.

~ Speaking of dinner, you want to do more and more on your own. A spoon on your tray helps distract you some, but you don't want me to do it for you.

~ He has an attitude! An independent, do it myself, and I'll let you know what I think kind of attitude. You can give him a stern look and he'll laugh at you.

Yeah, this is what this photo session looked like! Needless to say, our bundle of joy is quite the bundle... of energy, giggles, grins and new things each day.
