Height: 30 3/4 inches
We have our 9 month appointment only a few days before he turns 10 months, so we'll see then how accurate things are!

What a month this last one has been! His personality has really shown through, both good and bad. He's got a temper every now and then. At the same time, he has a smile that can light up your world. Nothing beats his sweet moments when he wants to cuddle. I can't believe how close we are inching towards the one year mark!
Things we've noticed:
~ He has 6 teeth! They started with a bang at 5 months, stopped until 7, and then have slowly made their way through one at a time since then. These things are sharp! He likes to bite a shoulder every now and then.
~ He LOVES to swim! I can't get him in the water soon enough without him jumping right out of my arms. He likes to put his face in it, mouth wide open. He doesn't want to stay in his float either- he wants to be IN the water! I can't wait to see how he'll do in the ocean...
~ He will roll, scoot and creep, but not crawl. Not yet. But somehow, he likes to get around!
~ His hair is really light blond, but when the sun hits it just right or when it gets wet, you can still see the red tint in it.
~ His hair is also a hit. It stands STRAIGHT UP on top. The longer it gets, the more noticeable. Definitely a conversation piece wherever we go. Best reaction? The guy working at Moes. He was almost as excited as they are when "Welcome to Moe's"ing.
~ He likes baby Piper. He tries to grab her. Probably to chew on her like he does everything else these days. He looks for her when I ask him where Piper is.
~ He is getting more and more clingy. To me. We're working on being ok when mom leaves the room, since I can't haul him everywhere.
~ He absolutely loves Baby Einstein. I don't want him sitting in front of the tv all day, but he would if these are on 24/7. The second the caterpillar crawls across the screen, his eyes are glued!
~ He loves his dad. He smiles, laughs, and squeals each time Chris walks into the room. I know this makes them both extremely happy.
~ He has gotten popped. And it worked. So far. He keeps wheeling his walker into the foyer and pulling on the curtain. I popped his hand and told him no and he looked at me, completely stunned. He hasn't done it since. I hope everything else goes this well.
~ He loves to take a bath. He's in the big bathtub now and scoots all over the place the whole time.
Foods he likes:
- Bread, tortillas, pancakes, bagels, pizza, Ritz, saltines, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, zucchinni bread, blueberry muffins, cornbread
- Turkey, ham, hamburger meat, chicken, spaghetti
- Green beans, pinto beans, baked beans
- Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, strawberries, lemon, peaches, blackberries, grapes, mandarin oranges
- Cheese, yogurt
- Sweet tea, lemonade, blueberry lemonade, apple juice, water
He DOESN'T like any of the Stage 3 foods with meat. Can't stand them! That, and the broccoli we tried today. Bananas are a hit or miss, depending on his mood.
We're still trying new things and learning more each day. It's definitely a new day each day. I start school this next month, so it will be an adjustment for sure, not seeing him each day and getting to spend this time with him. What a long way we've come, but yet, still so far left to go.

Time is flying by these days! I can't believe my summer has already made its way through June and is knocking on July's door. This little man is keeping pace, for sure. Each day brings something new and I absolutely love it. His personality is awesome! He keeps us guessing, laughing, and more than entertained.
My sweet boy- I can't wait to see what the next month brings!
